Everyone quit on the same day

I found the perfect deal

It was an existing Midas franchise in a great location within my current footprint.

The store was underperforming by 30% which meant low-hanging fruit to increase revenue

Plus I only had to put $25k down with the seller financing the rest.

One of my acquisition rules is to never meet the team before finalizing the deal.

People get spooked when a business is sold so we’d rather calm any fears after we’ve got the keys and can be there every day.

So I run the same “Day 1 Playbook” on this shop that I’ve done 32 times now.

There are a few critical things we do to make the transition smooth for everyone.

And it’s worked perfectly 31 times.

The new team is usually excited about the major investments we’re going to make in the business.

Such as upgrading equipment, computers, and building.

We blanket the market with mailers to drum up new business and integrate everyone into our driven culture.

Except for this one was different....

I break down exactly what happened, how we recovered, and what changes I made going forward. Watch here:
