It’s so easy to add to your business.
New marketing, prices, packaging, processes, offers. We’re always tinkering to find a new edge.
But the most underrated tool we have does the exact opposite.
✂️ Scissors ✂️
Instead of adding, we use scissors to trim and simplify.
A few weeks ago I was talking with Ryan, a new 8-Figure Franchisee member, who felt his sales process was too slow and it was costing him deals.
And speed is everything in sales. The quicker you get a customer an estimate, the better your chance of closing it.
Ryan ran a 16-step process every time a new customer showed up. I told him to take the scissors to it and cut everything that wasn’t essential up front.
When every item is “important,” none of them get real attention. So his guys were racing through all sixteen, half-doing every one just to get to the next customer.
He trimmed it down to 3 steps.
One of those sixteen was a $40 upsell they barely ever sold, because it kept getting skipped in the shuffle.
Now it’s one of only 3 steps, so it never gets missed.
Guess what happened?
They’ve sold more of that little upsell in the last few days than they did all of last month. Ryan figures that one item will add $30,000 of profit per year.
And that’s before we even see what the incremental profit from his core services does now that the whole process is faster.
So here’s my question for you: what part of your business can you take the scissors to?
Cheers!
Brian
P.S. Ryan’s story is just one of many. Owners inside 8-Figure Franchisee are finding thousands of dollars hiding in their businesses on our calls every week. Reply “SCISSORS” and I’ll show you how it works.
