6 years ago, I met a guy worth $100M.
He changed my life without knowing it.
At the time, my business was doing $5M in revenue.
On paper, I was successful, but I felt stuck.
Everything ran through me. Every decision, problem & solution
I couldn’t see a path to making significantly more money without working significantly more hours.
Then I made a decision that changed everything
I attended an event with other guys playing at a higher level.
One of the speakers was a franchisee worth $100M. He told a story that hit me like a ton of bricks.
Years earlier, he was exactly where I was.
Grinding. Stressed. Successful on the outside, stuck on the inside.
Then he got invited into a room with entrepreneurs worth $100M, $200M, $500M+.
He assumed they had MBAs from Wharton, family money, and an unfair advantage he didn’t have.
After hours of real conversation, he realized he was completely wrong.
None of them had special connections.
None of them came from money.
None of them hit the lottery.
But they all shared three traits:
1/ They set ridiculous goals and tracked them obsessively
2/ They took relentless action toward those goals
3/ They had 100% conviction that they could do it
That’s when something clicked for him.
He thought: “I can do those three things. If they can do it, why not me?”
Why not me?
"I don’t have experience." ➡️ Says who?
"I don’t know what to do." ➡️ Learn it.
"I don’t have the money." ➡️ Find it.
Sitting in that room, I asked myself the same question.
I looked at the biggest franchisees in my brand. Guys with 20, 30, 50, 80+ locations.
Why not me?
I’m a great operator. If they figured it out, I can too.
Over the next 6 years, I grew from $5M to $50M.
We all put limits on what we think is possible. These limits hold us back until someone helps us break through them.
