You don't have to double your sales

For the longest time, I believed the only way to double my profit was to double my sales.

The day I figured out I was wrong changed my business forever.

Say you’ve got a store making $10k a month on $100k in sales (10% net margin)

To reach a $20k/month profit, the obvious move is to generate $200k in sales. Doubling your sales sounds overwhelming and unlikely to happen any time soon.

But the money doesn’t actually work that way.

Once your business covers its fixed costs for the month (rent, insurance, base payroll), every dollar after that is waayyyy more profitable.

In my business, 60 cents for every dollar gets paid out for parts, tech payroll, manager bonuses, royalties, advertising, and credit card fees.

This doesn’t matter if we’re doing $1M, $10M, or $100M. 60 cents gone off the top.

This leaves 40 cents for every dollar to cover those fixed costs and generate a profit.

But here’s the magic trick:

I don’t need another $100k in sales to add $10k in profit.

The formula is simple: I take $10k (additional profit) and divide it by 40% = $25k in additional sales.

So to double the profit, I don't need to double sales, just 25% more.

That’s a completely different feeling.

Doubling feels like moving a mountain.

25% is a handful of small things: a price increase you’ve been scared to make, a vendor you’ve never bothered to renegotiate, a few more leads, a slightly better close rate on the calls you’re already getting.

That’s the whole game.

It’s not about moving mountains. It's about doing a few key moves a little better, week after week.

One more thing before you go:

I’m going to be running a few live workshops over the next few months.

Which topic would you be most excited about?

  • 8-Figure Business + 8-Figure Life — how to build a $10M+ business that actually gives you your time back (not one that owns you)
  • Building Team That Runs It Without You — hire, retain, and build leaders so you stop being the bottleneck
  • Generating Strong Cash Flow — fix the leaks, tighten the funnel, and turn the revenue you already have into real cash flow
  • Scale Without Chaos — add locations without adding stress, using the copy-paste system I’ve run 30+ times

Cast your vote here

Cheers!

Brian
